VP Vereinigte Papierwarenfabriken GmbH

100 Percent Climate-neutral

100 per cent climate-neutral – for us and our environment!
At VP, climate protection is a corporate philosophy that is consistently implemented across the Group. VP is 100% climate-neutral. All internal processes at all five of our locations are completely offset with high-quality emission reduction certificates, as are deliveries to customers. This has also been confirmed by the award of ‘Climate Neutrality’ certificate by TÜV SÜD. This is an important ecological step – for us and for our customers.

By 2012, VP had managed to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 21% in Feuchtwangen. This was achieved using a variety of measures, including modernisation of buildings and production, energy-saving lighting concepts and optimisation of warehousing and logistics. Our aim by 2020: an additional 20% reduction in CO2 within the Group!

VP uses raw materials from sustainable forests (FSC® licence number FSC CO14176) and materials containing recycled elements. The use of water-based colours minimises the effect on the environment and moreover none of our adhesives contain solvents. Constant product optimisation ensures minimal impact on the environment while guaranteeing consistent quality.

VP supports climate protection projects in Kenya and India that are certified in accordance with the internationally recognised Verified Carbon Standard and which also incorporate social aspects. These projects secure a CO2 storage which compensates for the entire remaining greenhouse gas emissions of VP. VP is supported by ClimatePartner, an expert in corporate climate protection.

We have been certified according ISO 14001, and, in order to earn your full confidence in our climate protection activities, voluntarily accomplished a TÜV SÜD accreditation. This means you can be sure that you are using packaging that is manufactured by a climate-neutral company.
