Advanced Microdevices (mdi) is a leader in innovative membrane technologies. Starting from a single person R&D operation in 1976, mdi has developed into a dedicated team of 350 plus with more than 15000 products.

The company’s core competence is its ability to develop new membrane technologies and innovate existing ones to deliver advantages to the customer in a wide range of industries such as immunodiagnostics, pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, biotechnology, hospitals, food and beverage.
The in-house development of machines for casting of continuous rolls and 'Special mdi processes' has resulted in production of membranes which are extraordinarily consistent resulting in high growth rate. Over the years mdi has created a position for itself by developing latest technologies at low cost and commercializing internationally accepted products at competitive prices. mdi products are exported to over 50 countries worldwide, including major exports to USA, Western Europe, China, and South Korea.
mdi immunodiagnotic products are used for development and manufacture of reliable immunoassays for testing of diseases at patient bedside. The other product categories include products for critical applications such as sterilization of injectable drugs, sterility testing, sample preparation of drugs that are tested with highly sophisticated instrumentation, development of new drugs etc. Many mdi products are recognized as the best available in the world.
With 12 postgraduates and 42 graduates, a current constructed area of 20,000 sq.m. mdi is well equipped for large productions. mdi produces thousands of sq.ft. membrane per day and has a capacity to produce more. mdi’s modern GMP compliant facilities with large ISO 7 Clean Areas meets more than the required standards. The products are manufactured under UL-DQS certified ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 (for Medical devices only) Quality Management Systems.
