Mobile Medical Practice WAS 900

Not only the changes in demographics and advances in mobile medical treatment are some of the challenges that face the modern medical services. Also the medical attendance of refugees requires solutions. That is the reason why we have made medical treatment mobile. The mobile medical practice is a fully equipped doctors practice on wheels. It is suitable for various medical fi elds, for the use at large social events (instead of emergency ambulances) and for medical pre- and post-care. With a total vehicle weight of 3.5 T, it can be driven with a normal car driver’s license. Due to its modular furniture
the mobile medical practice can be easily adjusted to the sensitive demands regarding the diagnosis and medical care of refugees. The separated dressing room enlarges the comfort zone especially for patients with cultural preconditions. The modular box body is crash tested according to EN 1789 and is equipped with modern, energy effi cient LED lighting, doctor’s spots and blue calming trauma lights. An independent vehicle heater and 230-V-airconditioning ensure pleasant temperatures during all seasons. The box body is highly energy efficient due to excellent insulation.

WAS Multi-Load Assist – the entry assistance system for wheeled stretchers

To relieve both patients and rescuers, WAS has developed the move-in system WAS Multi-Load Assist. Rescuers do no longer have to lift the stretcher with the patient on it into the ambulance. The stretcher is moved to its loading position and connected to the move-in system – now the move-in assistance is activated. The special soft control slightly and smoothly moves the stretcher onto the ambulance table. Even the fixation on the table is automatic and perfectly safe. The Multi-Load system offers another major advantage: it is compatible with all common stretcher systems on the German market. In addition to this, the WAS Multi-Load Assist can be retrofitted to all ambulance tables WAS Hydropuls Komfort. For rescuers, this innovation means an ease of backstrain. For patients, this system is very stress reducing since the stretcher is loaded into the ambulance slightly and smoothly.

WAS SanSafe – Perfect Hygiene as an Integrated System.

WAS SanSafe not only gives more time for rescuers but a perfect hygiene in the patient compartment. This fully integrated system from WAS and SKAN perfectly removes germs and pathogens – even from areas which are very difficult to access by the traditional wipe and mop disinfection process. The active substance H2O2 is spread as an extremely fine spray into any gap no matter how small it is. The console with the substance reserve as well as the pump system and the control unit can be easily installed in any storage compartment; the system is refilled via the external locker door. WAS SanSafe offers a perfect hygienic safety within just a few minutes.

WAS Smart Check mobile – the Mobile Equipment Monitor with RFID.

Emergency services now have full control of their equipment even during rescue operations. The WAS Smart Check mobile delivers real-time information on misplaced or lost resources, thus preventing valuable medical equipment from going missing, even on operation site. The system also provides detailed information on expiry dates and maintenance intervals. WAS Smart Check mobile can be used in manual or automatic mode. In automatic mode, the system is activated upon arrival of the ambulance on site. The system runs a vehicle check according to adjustable cycles. Alternatively, the system check can be run manually by pressing the start button on the tablet monitor in the vehicle, after finishing the rescue operation. Further to an inventory management, the system indicates the latest use of the equipment in the vehicle. This information narrows the search for any missing equipment and
saves time. The system also uses passive RFID technology and is compatible with the stationary version.

About us

Company details

WAS is a leading manufacturer of special vehicles and ambulances. There are many reasons for this. Most of them can be found in a WAS vehicle itself: the innovative technology, the perfect ergonomics, the premium-quality materials, made in Germany, and the expertise of our employees. A WAS vehicle makes paramedics stronger and operations more efficient.

Not everything that customers and paramedics value about WAS are things that can be installed in our vehicles: such as the contact person who is there for each customer personally and provides advice and support from idea to use. Or the qualified technical support, who provide fast, reliable assistance. Contacts and specialists are the extras who keep vehicles and paramedics operational – and will do for years to come. Included as standard with WAS.

Over 350 employees in Wietmarschen produce sophisticated special-purpose vehicles and ambulances. High volumes, low volumes and unique custom vehicles. Developers, technicians, electronic engineers, assemblers and other specialists work hand in hand with each other here. Because special vehicles from WAS are 90% hand-made. And with every little detail, we take a high-performance base vehicle and turn it into something special: a WAS specialist vehicle.
