Spark-VIS

A Revolutionary Spectral Sensor

Spark comprises a family of spectral sensor products and is available in three formats – a core spectral sensor product and two embeddable, OEM-friendly versions – with the level of integration up to the customer.  The Spark-DET, the smallest version, is at the heart of the plug-and-play core device, and, weighing less than 1g, the Spark-DET is the smallest spectral device on the market.

A spectral sensor is a new class of device that focuses on size, manufacturability, and value, bringing the power of spectroscopy to the sensor market. The Spark also offers users full spectral information in applications previously dominated by RGB photodiode devices. It offers great advantages compared with those devices.

This novel technology will allow our customers to explore a previously inaccessible world of spectrometry measurements. We are eager to find out where you go and what you are able to do with this revolutionary device!

Flame Spectrometer

The Next Generation of Miniature Spectrometers

The Flame spectrometer is built using industry-leading manufacturing techniques that help deliver high thermal stability and low unit to unit variation — without compromising the flexibility and configurability that are the hallmark of Ocean Optics miniature spectrometers. New features such as interchangeable slits, indicator LEDs and simple device connectors deliver more freedom and less frustration.

Whether you are an educator looking for an instrument to teach students the basic principles of spectroscopy, a research lab looking to make a breakthrough, or an engineer working to integrate a spectrometer into an OEM system, the Flame will provide you with the performance and features you need to make your UV-Vis spectroscopy application successful.

IDRaman mini 2.0

Identify. Authenticate. Verify.

The IDRaman mini is the smallest, most powerful handheld Raman system available today. The IDRaman mini fits in the palm of your hand, yet is ruggedly dependable for fast, accurate Raman analyses ranging from chemical and explosive agent detection in the field to quality assurance and quality control sampling routines in the factory. The system includes a preloaded, editable library of about 30 Raman spectra and large libraries of up to 9,000 spectra are available for purchase.

The IDRaman’s  unique Raster Orbital Scanning (ROS) technology scans a tightly focused beam over a wide 2.5 mm sample area, dramatically improving the quality of the Raman measurement. ROS has benefits for liquid and solid samples, especially samples that are inhomogeneous and irregularly shaped. In addition, with ROS the low average power needed eliminates sample damage and the possible ignition of explosive samples.

The next-generation IDRaman mini has a more powerful processor for expanded library capabilities and redesigned, IP67-rated mechanical case for greater ruggedness. its 785 nm excitation laser delivers 50 mW of power. Fully compatible with OceanView software, the IDRaman mini makes a great tool no matter what your application.

DH-2000-BAL

The DH-2000-BAL is the world’s only balanced deuterium halogen source. It uses innovative filtering technology to produces smooth spectrum across entire range. This same technology eliminates the alpha deuterium line in the visible region. Using a combination of deuterium and halogen lamps, the DH-2000 is flexible and ideal for measuring a sample that has multiple features in different spectral regions or for analyzing a variety of different samples in your lab.

All deuterium sources have an alpha line, a sharp spectral feature centered at 655 nm. This feature and other deuterium lines produce “unbalanced” output in the deuterium and halogen sources. Simply adjusting the integration time of the spectrometer to suppress the alpha line does not solve the problem as the efficiency of the system at UV wavelengths drops significantly, compromising signal-to-noise performance.

A system of proprietary internal mirrors and filters to eliminate the D-alpha, D-beta and Fulcher lines in the deuterium source, producing a “smoother” spectrum across the entire wavelength range and eliminating problems associated with saturation. By comparison, most combination UV-NIR sources can be adjusted for relative intensity only.

All models of the DH-2000-BAL include easy-to-replace bulbs, keeping your measurements going with fast lamp changes.
