Accu-Tell Rapid Anti-Syphilis Test (CE)

Accu-Tell ® Rapid Anti-TP (Treponema Pallidum / Syphilis) Test is a rapid, serological, immunochromatographic assay for the detection of antibodies to syphilis antigen in human serum or plasma(whole blood). The test is used to obtain a visual, qualitative result and is intended for healthcare professional use. Applications of the test include: screen test for sex transmitted diseases (STD’s) among high-risk group of people, regular health examinations, and field screen test for blood bank.

CERTIFICATE
CE; ISO 13485:2003

SUMMARY AND PRINCIPLE
Accu-Tell ® Rapid Anti-TP (Treponema Pallidum /Syphilis) Test uses a double antigens “sandwich principle” for the detection of Syphilis antibody in human whole blood, serum or plasma. A recombinant syphilis antigen (TP Ag 2) was immobilized on the test band region, and an antibody to syphilis on the control band region of nitrocellulose membrane. Another syphilis antigen (TP Ag 1), coupled with colloidal gold particles, is dried on a conjugate pad. During the assay, the specimen is allowed to react with the colored conjugate (antigen-colloid gold conjugate); the mixture then migrates chromatographically along the membrane by capillary action. If the specimen contains syphilis antibody, the recombinant antigen immobilized on the membrane will capture the antibody-antigen-colloidal gold complex and form a colored test band on the membrane, indicating a positive result. Absence of the test band suggests a negative result. To serve as a procedural control, a colored band at control region always appears in the test area.

ACCU-TELL HBSAB SERUM / WHOLE BLOOD TEST

INTENDED USE
Accu-Tell ® Rapid HBsAb Serum/Whole Blood Test is a rapid, immunochromatographic assay for the detection of antibodies to Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBSAB) in human whole blood, serum or plasma. The test provides a visual, qualitative result. It is for professional use.

SUMMARY AND PRINCIPLE OF THE ASSAY
Accu-Tell ® Rapid HBsAb Serum/Whole Blood Test uses the “sandwich principle”,1 a solid phase colloidal gold enhanced immunoassay technique for determination of HBsAb in human whole blood, serum or plasma.
SERUM: The nitrocellulose membrane was immobilized with HBsAg on the test band region and anti-HBsAg antibody on the control band region. During the assay, the specimen is allowed to react with the colored conjugate (HBsAg colloid gold conjugate); the mixture then migrates chromatographically on the membrane by the capillary action. For a positive result, a color band with the specific antibody-HBsAg complex will form on the membrane. Absence of this colored band in the test band region suggests a negative result. To serve as a procedural control, a colored band at control region always appears in the test area. The reagent contains scavenge antibodies to reduce nonspecific reactivity in human serum or plasma specimens. The sensitivity of the test is 10mIu.
WHOLE BLOOD: The nitrocellulose membrane is coated with HBsAg in the test region and anti-HBsAg antibody in the control region. During the assay the specimen is allowed to react with the colored conjugate (HBsAg colloid gold conjugate); the mixture then migrates chromatographically on the membrane by the capillary action. An HBsAb positive specimen produces a distinct color band in the test region, formed by the specific antibody-HBsAg complex. Absence of this colored band in the test region suggests a negative result. A colored band always appears in the control region serving as procedural control regardless of the test result. The sensitivity of the test is 10mIU/ml.

ACCU-TELL HBSAG ELISA TEST

INTENDED USE
Accu-Tell ® HBsAg Test Kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the qualitative determination of Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) in human serum or plasma.

SUMMARY
Infections by Hepatitis B virus (HBV) present serious public health problems in all parts of the world. Early detection of the infection is essential. A variety of serological markers appear following infection with HBV, and one of the first of these is HBsAg. This antigen appears before biochemical evidence of liver disease or jaundice, persists throughout the acute disease phase, and declines during convalescence.
Procedures for the detection of HBsAg have evolved from the relatively insensitive agar gel diffusion methods to the enzyme immunoassay. In 1975, Wolters et al. published an ELISA procedure for the detection of HBsAg in micro-plates. With this procedure, the sensitivity was reported to be equivalent to radioimmunoassay on a panel of reference sera. Subsequently, the ELISA procedure has found wide application in the detection of antigens and antibodies.

PRINCIPLE OF THE PROCEDURE
Accu-Tell ® HBsAg Test is an ELISA based, double antibody “sandwich” immunoassay, which employs specific anti-HBsAg antibodies: one immobilized at the bottom of the microtiter wells, and the other coupled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) as the conjugate solution. During the assay, existing HBsAg in the specimen will react with these antibodies to form an “antibody-HBsAg-antibody-HRP” immuno-complex. After the unbound material is washed off during the assay procedure, substrate is applied to indicate the test result. The appearance of blue color in microtiter wells indicates HBsAg reactive result. The absence of the color indicates non-reactive result in the specimen.
