Epilepsy: Sensor increases patient safety

Dear Sir or Madam,

Epileptic seizures must be treated as soon as possible because they can suddenly occur and lead to death. In order to always be guarded and to be able to react quickly in the event of sudden seizures, the University Hospital Bonn deals with the EPItect project – a sensor system that can measure the frequency and severity. Find out more about this in our video.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year 2017,

Epileptic seizures happen suddenly, can look quite different from one person to the next and often also go unnoticed. Now a wearable sensor system that patients can wear anytime can help to assess their frequency and severity. The EPItect Project that is being coordinated at the University Hospital Bonn is involved with this type of system.
