Hightech trends for medical technology

The COMPAMED Spring Convention is the annual expert meeting for developers, producers and users in the field of medical practice. During spring-time it already offers insight into COMPAMED, Europe’s largest fair for suppliers of medical manufacturing, which takes place in Düsseldorf every autumn.

Review 2017

The 11th COMPAMED Spring Convention on „Hightech Trends in Medical Technology“ took place on 03 May  2017 at Frankfurt Airport. The focus was on microfluidics in medical technology. Different presentations showed the role of microfluidic components and systems, like

  • manufacturing methods and available materials for microfluidic components and BioMEMS products,
  • the use of microfluidics in diagnostics and drug dosing as well as
  • the combination of microfluidics with BioMEMS components and sensors.

Due to the great international relevance of COMPAMED, the conference language of the 11th COMPAMED Spring Convention was English for the first time.

IVAM Marketing Prize 2017

The IVAM Marketing Prize is awarded to businesses that show outstanding performance in marketing. For small and medium-sized enterprises, it’s all about visibility and standing out on the market. Oftentimes, products are extremely technical and tough to market. Customers demand solutions, not technology. Those who field great ideas, concepts and activities here are candidates for the IVAM Marketing Prize.

Ginolis Ltd. from Oulunsalo, Finland, was awarded the 9th IVAM Marketing Prize on March 23, 2017. Ginolis had applied with a holistic marketing campaign around the product "LFDA-3". The start-up company conceived multimedia campaigns, online and social media strategies as well as international trade fair presence..
