3D printed surfaces inspired by nature

The blue color of morpho butterflies is caused by tiny, fir-tree-like structures on their wing surface. Using 2PP printing technology, researchers succeeded in producing hierarchical structures at the micro- and nanometer level, thus imitating the structural color.
