QARAlink Appoints Fabien Nisol as Chief Technology Officer to Accelerate AI Innovation in MedTech Compliance

We’re excited to announce the appointment of Fabien Nisol as Chief Technology Officer at QARAlink. With nearly 35 years of software engineering experience, spanning AI systems in energy and telecom to bioinformatics at scale, Fabien joins at a pivotal moment in our growth.

As QARAlink advances its mission to transform regulatory compliance from a bottleneck into a driver of innovation, Fabien’s unique blend of deep technical expertise and strategic insight will be instrumental in scaling our platform.

A Career Built on Purposeful Engineering

Fabien’s journey in software began early: coding in C and Assembly as a teenager, fascinated by the intersection of logic, systems, and creativity. He formalized his expertise with a Master’s in Electronic Engineering, and soon joined Alcatel’s Space Electronics division before transitioning to the company’s Global Network Management team. There, he developed AI-powered expert systems in LISP, laying the foundation for a career rooted in innovation and scalable architecture.

He later moved to Canada, where he supported the rollout of telecom infrastructure and joined TransÉnergie to apply AI for optimizing energy transport at a national scale. Most recently, he spent over a decade at SOPHiA GENETICS, where he played a key role in industrializing genomic data pipelines and ensuring compliance with international data and security standards.

His work consistently bridges advanced software design with real-world impact, making him ideally positioned to lead QARAlink’s next chapter.

Scaling with Support and Purpose

Fabien’s arrival follows QARAlink’s public support from SPEI (Service de la promotion de l’économie et de l’innovation), a strong signal of institutional trust in the company’s strategy and potential.

As we expand across Europe and the U.S., Fabien will lead product development and oversee the technical team, with a focus on delivering a high-performing, secure, and explainable AI platform. His leadership will help ensure our tools not only meet the standards of EU MDR, IVDR, and FDA regulations, but anticipate the evolving needs of regulatory and quality teams globally.
