Open Labware - Laboratory systems from the 3D printer

Dear Sir or Madam,

The cliché of the elitist scientist in the proverbial ivory tower is persistent. But in recent years, there has been a completely different trend in the natural sciences: Open Labs. These are freely accessible online projects and research results that can be used and further developed by everyone. Is this the breakthrough to a more democratic and successful science? Read more about this in our current interview.

I wish you a good start to the weekend!

High-Definition Micro Objectives for 1/6” and 1/10” Sensors

Qioptiq's FALCON Series (for 1/10") and EAGLE Series (for 1/6”) offer fields-of-view of 90°, 110° or 140°. Only 5mm long, they feature a 5-element design with an integrated infrared-absorbing filter and lithographic aperture. High MTF (135 lp/mm) minimizes vignetting and ensures uniform illumination.
