The battery of the future

Dear Sir or Madam,

Energy supply issues are currently attracting a great deal of public interest. In addition to the question of which source we want to use to cope with our increased energy demand in the future, the topic of energy storage options is also increasingly coming into focus. What does the battery of the future look like – even apart from the current major energy policy issues? We asked an expert. Read what Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schubert has to say in our interview.

Enjoy reading!

Researchers develop self-sterilising plastic film

Laboratory Medicine & Hygiene

Researchers at Queen’s University Belfast have developed a ground-breaking plastic film that can kill viruses that land on its surface with room light. The self-sterilising film is the first of its kind – it is low cost to produce, can be readily scaled and could be used for disposable aprons, tablecloths, and curtains in hospitals.
