The use of biocompatible materials in medical technology prevents problems wherever the surface of medical devices comes into contact with body tissue or fluids: for example, they prevent or inhibit negative reactions from the body and immune system, or they support healing while being gradually absorbed by the body. Manufacturers of medical products such as implants need to keep up to date and follow new developments in this field – COMPAMED is the ideal place to do this. Our camera team spoke to two manufacturers of biocompatible materials during COMPAMED 2024.
