Sustainable materials for greater environmental and occupational safety

The GreenLine product range includes various materials that are more environmentally friendly and less risky to process. These include, for example, the GreenLine hardening powder, which is made from renewable raw materials.

New products at OTWorld

Ottobock will be presenting two more new products from the GreenLine range at OTWorld in Leipzig (14 to 17 May 2024):

UCAST orthosis system: This orthosis system, which is used to correct malaligned joints or fractures, is made of sustainable, easily mouldable thermoplastic mixture WOODCAST and a self-adhesive bandage. Made from aspen wood and a polymer base, it is biodegradable, free from microplastics and twice as strong as plaster.
Flax fibres: Flax fibres are a 100% renewable raw material that is used to manufacture laminates for lower limb prosthesis sockets. Ottobock offers a specially developed laying plan that explains step by step to orthopaedic technicians how the flax fibres are processed into a secure socket.
