A good passivated surface decreases/eliminates heavy metal ion release and improves corrosion resistance, thereby reducing negative tissue reactions. This, in turn, improves biocompatibility of medical pruducts like stents and frames.

MeKo has developed optimum passivation processes for different materials, e.g. 316LVM, L605, NiTi. Surface passivations of medical devices are verified by corrosion measurements.

Inspection and Measurements

Medical devices, and especially implants, require outstanding quality which can only be achieved by controlled processes and continuous inspections and measurements.
