SpiroConnect® - General Practice

Use of spirometery in general practice for diagnosis and management of asthma and COPD has been defined by national and international guidelines and specialist respiratory groups such as the American Thoracic Society, the European Respiratory Society and the Primary Care Respiratory Society U.K.

SpiroConnect® complies with ATS/ERS specifications, is extremely stable, reliable and accurate at all flows. Its PC software allows for a real time graphical display providing immediate patient and operator feedback and quality control, data storage, test and calibration check report printout. It can be used as a portable device connecting conveniently via latest Bluetooth technology to the lap top computer. SpiroConnect® PC software is user friendly with functional icons and an online user manual. The simple infection prevention procedure involves immersing all parts coming in the contact with patient's exhaled air in a cold sterilising solution or the use of standard pulmonary filters or one-way valve mouthpieces, keeping the running costs to a minimum.
