Smoke evacuation

Hand activation
Macroseal 2™ is a hand operated device, buttons on the side of the body are activated once tissue is grasped, and squeezed. No footswitch is required to activate the current. Macroseal 2™  comes as standard with Valleylab type 3 pin plug and is compatible with all most electrosurgery generators.

Non stick tips
Heat conducting non stick tips act to draw heat away from the surgical site, and therefore reduce eschar build up to the tip. Application of a PFTE coating further enhances the non stick capability to be the best on the market.

Micro Dissection Needles

Cotswold Micro dissection needles

The Cotswold Needle is a monopolar electrode with an ultra- sharp tungsten tip for precise soft tissue dissection.  Cotswold needles offering improved cutting and coagulation performance, whilst minimizing thermal spread, offering the surgeon the precision required for exceptionally fine dissection in a wide variety of procedures.

Precise electrosurgery

The Cotswold needle tungsten tip remains sharp throughout the procedure. With a melting point greater than 3420 degree , the needle will not become blunt, especially at low power settings.

The affective alternative

The fine tungsten tip of the Cotswold needle allows for greater accuracy to be achieved at very low power settings, in both cut and coag modes. This accuracy cannot be achieved with traditional stainless steel needles. Due to the extremely small surface area, a focused spark plasma is created at very low power settings, almost eliminating tissue drag and thermal damage that could lead to scarring.

The build-up of carbonised material (eschar) on the electrosurgery tip during surgery is radically reduced with the Prima nonstick p.t.f.e. coated electrodes.

The eschar layer prohibits the electrosurgery current being passed through the electrode, necessitating higher output settings which can cause damage to the peripheral tissue.

Prima nonstick electrodes are designed to focus the energy on the target tissue, making surgical time more productive.
