ATMOS® i View Pro - for middle ear surgery

Patient safety is paramount!

We at ATMOS have taken this seriously and, with the ATMOS® i View Pro, present a new generation of surgical microscopes. The development was carried out in close collaboration with the University of Munich. The result is an instrument that helps the surgeon optimise their workflow. Modern LED technology, an expanded stereo base and adaptation to the exit pupil makes the ATMOS® i View PRO an ideal instrument. Due to the enormous depth of focus, the microscope rarely has to be readjusted if at all.

The "cold" LED light protects the patient's tissue, the surgeon's eyes tire less and their is no distracting fan noise.

The benefit: the procedure can be completed faster and safer. The patient benefits, inter alia, from shorter anaesthesia time.

ATMOS® C 051 Thorax - the small marvel...

Mobile & flexible

- Up to 16 hours of battery operation.
- With only 1.3 kg dead weight, an ergonomic design and a comfortable carrying strap this system is perfect for the fast
   mobilization of the patient.
- The optional 360° adjustable universal bracket allows the connection to wheelchairs, beds and infusion stands.

Tochscreen

The ATMOS® C 051 Thorax uses a touchscreen as an input interface. As a result it was possible to create even simpler icons and to arrange the buttons in an easier and more user-friendly way.

Gravity drainage mode

The active suction can be set to -5 mbar. Thus the unit only preserves the biological normal vacuum and emits air and secretion.

Advantages:

- Physiological effect like a gravity drainage
- The postition of the unit in the room has no effect on the drainage
- Warning message
- Hose rinsing
- Digital information regarding fistulization remains active

Clear view of the secretion

The 800 ml secretion canister of the ATMOS® C 051 Thorax is divided into a 180 ml and a 620 ml compartment. This leads to ideal balancing requirements.

Therapy progress control

- On the main screen the target vacuum, the current vacuum and the current flow rates are displayed as a numerical value.
- The therapy progress is displayed graphically over 12 days.
- In addition it is possible to download the therapy data as PDF or excel file via USB stick.

Automatic night mode

From software version 1.1 the ATMOS® C 051 Thorax has an automatic night mode. A light sensor automatically detects the ambient light and the device automatically switches to night mode. This results in a more pleasant sleeping atmosphere for the patient.

ATMOS® FEES PORTABLE - mobile - safe - reliable

FEES - Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing

Dysphagia

Dysphagia is the most common sequelae of so-called "diseases of aging". A stroke, Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis can sustainably damage the swallowing behaviour of the patient.

Due to the observed demographic trends, it can also be expected that there will be a steady increase in the number of affected patients in the next few years. Therefore, a customised solution for the endoscopic evaluation of swallowing is of great
importance.

ATMOS FEES Portable:

Mobility: Integrated System Solution: light, handy, mobile and ideal for work at different sites, in outpatient, or bedside.
ATMOS FEES Portable is ready to go in a few steps and in a very short time.

Examination: Flexible endoscopy is gentle on the patient. Clear image and video recordings are archived in the patient database with a few clicks.

Evaluation: Patient-specific storage of recordings, fast report creation, including photographic documentation, simple video editing and image processing function.

ATMOS® Diagnostic Cube

Audiometry is a process that measures the characteristics and parameters of hearing. It is used to diagnose diseases of the hearing organs and to conduct research in these organs. Audiometry is a branch of audiology and thereby a branch of ear, nose, and throat medicine.

Otoacoustic emissions (abbreviation: OAE, from Greek word Ous, the genitive otos = ear) are active, acoustic emissions of the ear that can be recorded retrogradely (i.e. when sound is perceived, they travel in the opposite direction and reach the ear canal via the ossibles and tympanic membrane) with the help of highly sensitive measuring microphones.

Tympanometry is an objective method to measure audiology. It is a form of impedance audiometry. In this case, impedance is understood as the degree of resistance which the acoustic system as a whole (e.g. the middle ear) opposes the absorption of sound waves with.

Rhinomanometry is the manometry (from the Greek root manos meaning “thin and permeable” and the Greek suffix -metry meaning “dimension”) of the nose (Greek root rhīs). In other words, rhinomanometry is method for measuring air resistance when breathing through the nose.

The term ultrasound (often abbreviated as US or sono) refers to sound with frequencies above the audio frequency range of humans. It covers frequencies starting from approx. 16 kHz. Depending on the material from which an obstacle is made, ultrasound is reflected, absorbed, scattered, or passes trough (transmission).

Thermal examination of the vestibular organ
The sense of balance is used to determine body position and spatial orientation. The pairedvestibular organ (vestibular system and vestibular apparatus) of vertebrate animals and humans is located in the inner ear.

The term documentation refers to the harnessing of information for further use. Documentation enables the retrieval of specific written or otherwise permanently stored information (documents). Visualization or illustration (making visual) involves presenting abstract data (e.g. text) and relationships in a graphical or visual form.

Stroboscopy is used to assess vocal cord function. The mobility of the vocal folds can be assessed by means of stroboscopy. This enables the investigation of fine motor skills, the regularity of the oscillations, their amplitude, and the symmetry of motion during the opening and closing phases of the glottis.

A microscope (Greek μικρός mikrós “small”; σκοπεῖν skopeín “look”) is a device that enables one to view or depict magnified objects. These are usually objects that are smaller than the resolution capability of the human eye. Techniques that employ a microscope are referred to as microscopy.

MEDAP S VAC INT - the first intermittent vacuum controller from ATMOS®

Reduced work load and a high level of safety during the daily subglottic secretion management!

- Extremly easy to operate
- Continous and intermittent operation
- Especially for subglottic suction

Over the past years the intermittent suction is growing in significance. Ventilator associated pneumonia is a costly complication of nosocomial infection. A pneumonia is seen as ventilator associated when the patient is ventilated for at least 48 hours. This does not only increase the duration of hospitalization by up to 6 - 9 days, but it is also the most fatal nosocomial infection. New endotracheal tubes have been developed allowing for subglottic suction. Meanwhile recommendations for subglottic suction are found in guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Thoracic Society.

- Maximum vacuum of -26 kPa
- Ratio suction and no suction: 30 : 20 seconds
- Continuous suction with a high suction capacity of 60 l/min
- Gentle, intermittent suction with a suction capacity of 9 l/min

ATMOS® RS 221 - Cutting and Coagulation with radiofrequency

The radiofrequency surgery off ers new possibilities and has none of the aforesaid weaknesses. The advantages are the perfect results and the simplicity of the method. More and more plastic surgeons can no longer imagine a surgical intervention without radiowaves – for experienced doctors with radiosurgical systems the advantages compared to the other methods like scalpel, laser or HF surgery are indisputable.

Less impact of heat on the tissue speeds up the healing process and has a positive infl uence on the post-operative well-being. The incisions are smooth without the tissue being squeezed. The incision with the selfsterilizing radiofrequency electrode improves the haemostasis and results in an almost scarless wound healing.

A new dimension of precision

Thanks to an innovative technology the ATMOS® RS 221 enables incisions without pressure and traction. Minimized scarring is the result of less cell damage.
