Canada at MEDICA, Düsseldorf (November 12 - 15, 2018)

Largest Canadian Participation Ever

MEDICA – the leading international medical tradeshow – has been attracting generations of Canadian visitors and exhibitors. This year, an unprecedented 64 Canadian medical companies with a total of 12,830 square feet of net exhibition space (+8.7% on the previous best from 2017) will exhibit at the show.  They will present products, technology and services spanning rapid test kits, orthopedic and medical devices to information and communication technology as well as commodities and consumer goods.

As in previous years, Canadian companies will have the opportunity to take advantage of a number of matchmaking initiatives with organizations from all over the world. The federal government is also spearheading the organization of the Canadian networking reception supported by British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.  The event has become one of the highlights of the show and will take place on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 (after 5:30pm) at the Canadian Pavilion in hall 16 F44/G50. The reception will provide all parties involved with the chance to renew old and establish new contacts in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

Ontario, Alberta and, as a premier, British Columbia, will be part of the hall 16 Canadian Pavilion.  While Canadian companies exhibit in virtually every hall, the majority of them is located in halls 3 and 16.

Three Product Specific Canadian Pavilions

Canada has pavilions in the electro medicine/medical technology (hall 16), the laboratory equipment/diagnostics (hall 3) and the disposables (hall 5 and 6) sections of the show. These pavilions are organized by the Messe Düsseldorf (Canada) office in Toronto. They offer smaller or first-time exhibitors turnkey and/or full service exhibit solutions at the show.

MEDICA Bursting at the Seams

Around 6,190 companies from 69 countries registered for MEDICA / COMPAMED 2018. They again take over the complete fair grounds, which are bursting at the seams. COMPAMED, the medical component show in halls 8 a and b, runs concurrently with MEDICA.  International participation for both accounts for well over 65% of the space booked. This reflects MEDICA’s role and appeal as the key meeting place for the global medical business communities and is reflected in the visitor demographics as well.

No other medical trade fair in the world compares in terms of size, scope of exhibits, international exposure and in its role as a global marketing platform to MEDICA.  The industry continues to put its money on MEDICA. It features the right balance of quality and quantity in terms of supply and demand.

The MEDICA 2019 dates have been set for November 18 - 21, 2019.
