Deaf and hearing-impaired persons are faced with the same obstacles all over the world. According to the latest figures from WHO, this concerns 350 million people, but, today, this is an underestimation: it should be approximately 500 million.
Deaf and hearing-impaired persons represent 10% to 16% of the population in each country.
At present, the problem is far from being resolved: although 2% may wear hearing aids, only 30% are satisfied.
Having understood this fact, the start-up AZUR TECH CONCEPT set out to find a solution to help them.
After 5 years of research in partnership with associations, private individuals, specialised public and private organisations, etc., they developed SmartEar.
