Manchester Capillary Prothrombin Time Test Kit - 5 x 1.5ml

The Manchester Capillary Prothrombin Time reagent is a combined thromboplastin reagent for use in the in vitrocontrol of patient anticoagulant therapy by finger prick or venous blood prothrombin times.

The reagent is a lyophilised preparation with a unique tip and pour system to make reconstitution even easier. An ISI between 0.9 and 1.2 gives the reagent a level of sensitivity that is similar to human brain thromboplastin.

Manchester Capillary Prothrombin Time Test Kit is supplied as the following:

5 x 1.5ml Lyophilsed Reagent     -     30 Tests OR 60 Tests half volume
5 x 1.5ml Reconstitution Fluid

About us

Company details

THE COMPANY PROFILE
Founded in 2002 by Albert Pattison, Hart Biologicals originally started in a small incubator unit based in Hartlepool with just 3 staff. Hart Biologicals purchased the rights to manufacture and distribute Manchester Capillary Reagent from Professor Leon Poller and Manchester University, which is still the first choice of reagent to monitor Warfarin therapy.

Albert saw the need to not only increase the company's staffing levels due to the interest and demand for products, but to also ensure that the best facilities were available. So, in August 2009 Hart Biologicals moved to purpose built premises on the outskirts of Hartlepool. Within the move, a new fully automated bespoke freeze dryer was purchased from Frozen In Time, which allows our scientists to develop and control the development and production process with utmost precision.

Hart Biologicals are now involved in all areas of Coagulation and Platelet Aggregation and have built an extensive global network of distributors from South America to Asia.

Clients choose Hart Biologicals because we recognise that each customer has a different need, a different question, a different problem, and we address these on an individual basis. We do not sell ‘off-the-shelf’ solutions. We work with, rather than for, our customers to provide a highly personal level of support, help and advice. This flexibility means we can adapt to customers’ needs as their projects or needs progress.
