The TECTA™ B16 is a complete, self-contained automated microbiology testing system capable of providing laboratory-grade results on-site with unprecedented time-to-result performance.

Full automation of the test analysis and interpretation processes eliminates the need for subjective, visual interpretation of results. An objective, written test report is produced for each sample tested.

Extreme ease-of-use means that even non-technical personnel can initiate testing and perform all required quality assurance procedures to ensure laboratory-grade test results.

Selectrol® Micro-organisms

Selectrol® is a fully traceable and cost effective range of first generation micro-organisms which have predictable biochemical reactions, making it ideal for a variety of quality control and testing applications.

  • Quality control of culture media, staining reactions, biochemical profiling.
  • Determination of antibiotic concentrations in blood, serum or CSF samples.
  • Antibiotic susceptibility testing controls, whether by disc diffusion or serial dilution.
Selectrol® is a first generation derivative of original stock cultures obtained exclusively from the National Collection of Type Cultures (NCTC®) or National Collection of Pathogenic Fungi (NCPF®). Where appropriate other international strain designations, such as the ATCC®, are listed for reference purposes only.

Selectrol® strains are presented as water-soluble freeze-dried discs with most strains being available in packs of 10 or 25 discs. Selectrol® is versatile, and can be inoculated directly onto solid media or dissolved in an appropriate broth.

The PliNOSa® K-1600 Assay Kit is a novel in vitro diagnostic immunoassay for the early identification of sepsis.
The PliNOSa® test detects inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase (iNOS) on microvesicles in plasma, an innovation in sepsis disease pathology.

The PliNOSa® test can help physicians make better and more informed choices for improved patient management.

iNOS has specifically been implicated in sepsis, severe sepsis and septic shock. The PliNOSa® K-1600 assay kit provides accurate measurement of circulating iNOS concentrations in plasma samples via a chemiluminescent sandwich EIA. Each kit is for 96 tests.
