Push ortho Ankle Foot Orthosis AFO

The Push AFO offers excellent support in the case of loss of ability to lift the foot and problems in controlling the foot when walking. The innovative design allows for a natural gait and makes safe and efficient walking possible again.

The Push ortho Ankle Foot Orthosis lifts the foot during the swing phase, controls the plantar flexion after heel strike and then allows unimpeded rolling of the foot. In addition, the orthosis offers lateral stability to the ankle joint.

The elastic straps of the Push AFO are adjustable. This allows the degree of dynamic foot lift during the swing phase to be determined according to the individual needs of the user. On heel strike, the restraining function of the elastic straps ensures a well-controlled plantar flexion. During stance phase, the Push AFO allows flexion and extension in the ankle joint and allows the (remaining) function of the calf muscles to be addressed during the rolling of the foot. The result is an efficient and natural gait.

Push ortho Ankle Brace Aequi

The Push ortho Ankle Brace Aequi is an effective ankle orthosis which strikes a balance between efficient mechanical support of a disabled ankle and good wearer comfort. The rigid support is situated exclusively on the medial side of the ankle and has a recess for the malleolus. The lateral side is made from preformed foam, which easily adapts to the individual anatomy.

The brace is fastened by means of a diagonal strap. Elastic straps apply pressure around the ankle. Inversion/eversion movement of the ankle is restricted while plantar/dorsal flexion is allowed adequate freedom. This means that no inhibition is felt during normal walking and running. The Push Aequi is worn over the sock, and optimal stabilisation can only be achieved if it is worn with a closed (laced-up) shoe.

Push ortho Thumb Brace CMC

The Push CMC stabilises the basal joint of the thumb (CMC-1) and places the thumb in a functional position. This guarantees optimal hand function and reduces such symptoms as pain and loss of strength.

The selected materials and rounded edges contribute to maximum comfort, the simple closing system enabling patients to fit the brace themselves without any effort. The product is antimicrobial, can be used in water, and can be dried easily.

Push med Ankle Brace

The Push med Ankle Brace provides for long-term support of the ankle joint and can be used for a wide range of cases and conditions. The brace is based on the principle of the functional tape bandage. The degree of pressure and pronation/supination limits is adjustable and a silicone application ensures good position retention. There are comfort zones around vulnerable parts of the ankle, such as Achilles' tendon. The brace is comfortable to wear and easy to use, also due to the wide instep and an integrated heel-lock.

Sympress™ Technology
The brace is made of Sympress™, a high-quality comfortable material. The use of microfibres makes the inside feel soft and keeps the skin dry. The Push med Ankle Brace is easy to apply and can be washed without any problem.

Push med Knee Brace

The Push med Knee Brace provides substantial support for the knee joint in the medio-lateral direction. The knee is supported by two non-axial leaf spring hinges that follow the natural rotation movements of the knee in a unique way. This means that flexion and extension of the knee are not hindered. The band construction ensures that the hinges remain close to the joint. The good anatomical fit and the silicone application help the position of the brace to be maintained when walking. Due to its slim construction, the brace is not noticeable when worn under clothes.

PUSH BRACES VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE 2020

As an alternative to the cancelled ‘on-site’ Medica in Düsseldorf, we decided to go virtual. We are glad that these uncommon times also bring new opportunities! This virtual experience will take place during the original week of Medica: 16 – 19 November 2020. There will be a virtual booth that you can enter from wherever you are. Sitting at your kitchen table, relaxing on a comfortable chair or working at the office. It doesn’t matter!

In an uncommon setting we will present the Push story, innovations and novelties. Furthermore, both Push braces Push Sports will be presented in their own areas, as if we were in Düsseldorf. Just sitting behind your own computer, you can navigate through this experience. All you have to do is pre-register and come along on 16 to 19 November!

About us

Company details

Push braces are developed, manufactured and brought to the international orthopaedic and sports market by Nea International bv, located in the Netherlands.
Push takes good care of joint injuries, both in treatment as well as in prevention. Push has a story to tell.

> HOW IT ALL STARTED IN THE EIGHTIES
In the early nineteen eighties, two specialists at the University Hospital in Maastricht (Dr Cees Rein van den Hoogenband and Professor Co Greep), were pondering about the functional treatment of joint injuries. Together they were looking for a derivative method of the successful Coumans tape bandage in order to treat joint injuries in a functional way. Both were convinced that there had to be a simpler and more user friendly alternative for the patient. But how could this be achieved? The answer lay in developing a product using textiles, elastic straps and support features. Thus in 1986 Nea International BV was set up.

> UNCONVENTIONAL AND VALUABLE
