Spec 44

SPEC 44 cable has double insulation, combining the exceptional physical and electrical values of radiation-crosslinked polyalkenes with the excellent mechanical and chemical properties of radiation-crosslinked polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF).
The result is a wire insulation system that has a temperature rating of 150°C, small size, light weight, solderability and resistance to most solvents, fuels and lubricants. Fuels and lubricants. Spec 55

SPEC 55 wire is insulated with modified radiation crosslinked ETEE polymer. It has a temperature range of -65 °C to 200 °C (continuous use), is made of silver-plated copper wire and combines the easy handling of a flexible wire with excellent scratch abrasion and push-through properties.

The double insulated aircraft variant of the SPEC 55 wire is currently used in many aviation programs. You have a choice of two overall insulation thicknesses: 0.25 mm (55A08XX; 0.01") and 0.2 mm (55A02XX; 0.008"). Both have a contrasting core color that acts as a damage indicator The SPEC 55 wire is preferred due to its balanced properties such as exceptional resistance to chemicals and solutions, excellent arc suppression, and it is not susceptible to UV and moisture weakening Single insulated wire versions are available in 0.10 mm (55/03XX; 0.004") or 0.15 mm (0.0006") insulation thickness for use inside the enclosure, where the wire's flexibility and solder resistance make it very easy to install with operational reliability.

NEMA WC27500 - Mil-DTL-27500

The ANSI/NEMA WC27500 REV A specification is commonly used to describe both shielded and unshielded cable constructions for avionics, aerospace and airframe applications. The specification allows the user a wide variety of construction choices. Circuit identification, conductor size, insulation type, number of conductors, shielding material and jacket compound may all be specified.

QPL is required for WC 27500 in addition to the basic component wires. The producer of the finished cable must be a qualified source under the applicable basic wire specification or must provide evidence that Qualified wire was used in the construction of the cable.
