HMC manufactures and distributes medical devices worldwide under its own brand. By using the latest technologies and skilled employees, it is able to assist its customers in the development, design, production and marketing of any product.
"It was a pleasure to work.
I can say that I participated and made my contribution to the birth of this world."
(Giuseppe Bisi, HMC Founder)
The history of HMC goes back to its founder Giuseppe Bisi, who since the 1960s has been a key player in the pioneering events that have defined the birth and flourishing of the Mirandola Biomedical District.
HMC (fully Haidylena Modenplast Components) was founded in 1997 together with the companies MODENPLAST and HAIDYLENA.
The core activity was initially the trade of components and parts, but thanks to the entrepreneurial inclination of the founder, the talent of its employees and various acquisitions, HMC Group has experienced a remarkable evolution over the years, and is now a world-renowned and leading manufacturing company in the Italian market.
"HMC is a beautiful company that still has enormous growth potential. We invest a lot in innovation to keep our finger on the pulse."
The acquisitions that enabled the transition from HMC to HMC Group were essential for the company's development:
PREMEDICAL (2003), company specialized in the production and distribution of disposable medical devices, with its own CE marking activity
MEDITEA (2008), company linked to the market of multinationals, specialized in the production of medical devices and with its own hose extrusion activity
VOJMEDICAL (2010), assembly of medical devices
MACOSTA (2011), specialized in injection molding and mold making thanks to its own workshop
MEDICINA (2017), international distributor of enteral nutrition products
POLYMED (2018), manufacturer of fluid management systems
Important and continuous investments also marked HMC's 20 years of growth:
2004 Settlement of a new factory in Mirandola: 4,000 m² clean room ISO class 8, for the production of medical devices and with injection moulding department.
2006 Realization of the first department for pipe extrusion.
2010 Construction of a new production facility in Serbia for the assembly of medical devices.
2012 Construction of a new injection moulding department at the Serbia plant
2014 Completion and opening of two new buildings after the 2012 earthquake:
Medolla - 2,500 m², as a warehouse and logistics centre
Mirandola - 7,500 m², production facility: 2,500 m² clean room (injection moulding, extrusion, automatic assembly); workshop (mould maintenance, design and mould making); management, sales, technical, accounting.
Earthquake 2012 and its consequences
In May 2012, the areas of Emilia-Romagna between the cities of Ferrara, Modena and neighbouring towns were hit by an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale.
HMC had to move the whole production to Rubiera (Reggio Emilia) and on 30/07/2012, after only 2 months, HMC was ready with a 1.500m² clean room, with extrusion and injection departments.
"The new plant: completed and inaugurated in 2014"
New buildings will be inaugurated in 2014.
A plant of 2,500 m² for warehouse and logistics center and one of 7,500 m² for production, including 2,500 m² clean room for injection, extrusion and automatic assembly, mechanical workshop for maintenance and mold making and a 1,000 m² building for offices.

"A path of growth and company strengthening"
Two important acquisitions in 2017 and 2018
HMC Premedical SpA achieves two other important results.
A path started in 2017 with the acquisition of the majority shares of Medicina Group , - for several years a major international distributor of products for enteral nutrition, - will continue in 2018 with the acquisition of POLYMED , - company from Milan, for 25 years in the field of fluid management devices used in therapy for intravenous administration, as well as manufacturing and trading a wide range of stopcocks and manifold stopcocks.
In view of the structural consolidation, HMC organization and annual turnover are increasing, which supports the emergence of new opportunities worldwide.
