Based on a pilot project of the Austrian Patient Safety Platform in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Health as well as the Centre of Translational Sciences at the University of Vienna, the working group "Dealing with non-German-speaking patients" was established and the need for video interpreting was identified
After successful completion of the test phase and the scientific preparation of the accompanying study in March 2014, SAVD Videodolmetschen GmbH was founded and expanded to include further areas of application
In the meantime, the SAVD is the market leader in Austria and Germany in the field of audio and video interpreting. The extended SAVD services - SAVD Telehealth and SAVD Phrasix - enable people all over the world to communicate and exchange information securely, quickly and adapted to their individual needs - independent of time and place
