Company portrait
Links Medical Products Inc. (LMP) develops, manufactures, and distributes innovative products for acute and long-term care, and also the animal health field.
During the 1980s Tom Buckley, LMPs founder, owned and operated Supreme Medical, Inc., a maker and distributor of blood glucose test products, which he later sold. From that experience, Tom recognized a need to provide better, more innovative products for use in long term care.
Based on his research of the long term care market, Tom created and patented the SILENT KNIGHT® tablet crushing system and in 1995, along with his son Patrick, established LMP. The company grew so quickly that in 2003 it was named by Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing small businesses in America.
Now used by thousands of healthcare professionals in hospitals and nursing homes around the world, LMPs Silent Knight® system is the preferred method for crushing tablets into powder to aid those with swallowing difficulties.
More recently, LMP made an innovative move into wound care. The company now offers a full range of wound care products containing Certified Manuka Honey (CMH®). These products are now available through a worldwide network of leading suppliers. All LMP wound care products containing Manuka honey display the CMH® mark to assure customers the honey meets a clinically reliable level of purity and chemical composition verified by an independent laboratory.
LMP also provides a number of products to aid diabetic care, including the FORA GD20 blood glucose monitoring system and the Gluco Navii blood glucose monitoring system for multi-patient use in long-term care settings. In addition, LMP offers both Medlance® Plus and Actilance® Safety Lancets.
The companys innovative approach to addressing issues of care has also led to other products designed to aid patients and healthcare providers. They include Chamosyn® Multi-purpose Moisture Barrier with Manuka honey to protect, treat and moisturize the skin and the new compact LinkTemp® non-contact, portable thermometer.
LMP continues to innovate for and serve those in need of caring products. If you have questions or would like to discuss products with Links Medical Products, Inc. please feel free to send us an email at info@linksmed.com or call our office toll-free at (888)425-1149.
