The TU Kaiserslautern (TUK) is an engineering and science-focused research university with international rapport. In addition to excellent individual research, the TUK hosts a large number of coordinated research networks. In basic research, these include several collaborative research centers and trans-regional projects funded by the German Research Foundation. Application-oriented research is in most cases conducted in close cooperation with 10 research institutes on site.
The TUK offers its approximately 14,600 students more than 100 degree programs, as well as a future-oriented scientific education with modern infrastructure and practical relevance.
