NOSA microbial control reduces virus and bacteria by inhalation through the nose.
A reduced exposure of viruses and bacteria has been shown to reduce the risk of respiratory infections.
Researchers have found that there are two types of cells inside the nose that are the likely entry point for the COVID-19 virus. These cells work as “viral entry receptors” and are highly accessible to the coronavirus because of the location in the nose.
Our tests have shown that NOSA microbial control can reduce up to 93% of virus and 99% of bacteria when in contact with the device.

How does the innovation work?
The device provides a barrier between the user and the viruses and bacteria inside the nasal cavity. The design forces the air to pass through the product and captures viruses/bacteria. The silver inactivates the viruses/bacteria caught by the device and reduces the amount of microbials that enter the respiratory system.

In 2020 the product assortment was expanded with two new consumer products; NOSA allergy filter and NOSA smog filter that efficiently filters harmful airborne particles. The products are now available on pharmacies in Europe and will be launched in more countries in 2022.
When the covid-19 pandemic hit us all in 2020, we were compelled to find a new way to protect ourselves against the deadly virus. The result was a family of products focusing on both filtering and inactivating virus and bacteria in the air by inhalation through the nose – NOSA control, which were launched in August 2021.
