COMPAMED 2025 is behind us. Good discussions, inspiring presentations, making and maintaining contacts - for four days, the entire world of medical technology came together at the trade fair in Düsseldorf.

COMPAMED 2025 was dominated by three hot topics: Cybersecurity and data security, technological and material innovations and the international medical market. Visitors were able to experience these topics not only at the exhibitors' stands, where the latest products were presented. They were also omnipresent in the trade fair's supporting program – the forums and conferences.

Patient data is a matter of trust, and cybersecurity is its protective shield. Medical technology must therefore integrate the principle of "secure by design" into development in order to protect data from access and manipulation. Regulatory requirements such as the EU GDPR, NIS2 and FDA standards provide a clear framework.

In the future, real-time threat detection, automated patch management and international security standards will become increasingly relevant in order to effectively counter growing threats.
